Cadet Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell was born after Post World War III Planet Earth in 2255 before Nuclear War broke out in The United States.

She came from a quite ordinary family from The United States.

Benjamin L. Lowell was a attorney at Law and his wife Elizabeth Colleen Stanton was a housewife that stayed home with her six children.

Cadet Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell was the fourth child and second daughter and middle child of the six children.

Cadet Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell attended public schools in Maryland, but she attended Escola Americana in Brazil from 2267 until 2270 and when her family moved back to the United States from Brazil in 2270 she attended public schools in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Karissa was always compared with her two sisters Lawreen was 3 years older and Anna was 14 months younger than Karissa.

While on Planet Earth both Lawreen and Anna experimented with illegal street drugs but Karissa would not give into the Peer pressure.

She was considered the black sheep of the family and an eccentric person.

She loved to read Historical Novels and listen to music.

In 2271 Karissa met Roy L Mock.

Roy and Karissa in 2271. They were both considered the black sheep of their families.

Roy Lamonte was born in 2253 in Washington DC but he was raised by his paternal grandparents in Virginia.

Roy was the only son of Roy Jackson Mock and Della Baughman and they had two daughters Carolyn and Donna.

Della had a son by a lover name James and Roy and Della divorced and remarried.

Roy graduated in 2271 when he first met Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell at a high school dance.

Roy started in dating Karissa and in 2271 and in 2272 Roy proposal to Karissa and she accepted his marriage to marry him.

They planned to have a family as neither were affected by the radiation and both were fertile and they planned to have a family and their first daughter would be called Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane.

However; tragedy befall Roy and he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2273 and he died in January of 2274 and it left Karissa broken hearted.

Karissa along with 499 other young people board The United Star Ship Republic in New York City and 250 young people headed for Star Base 10 and the other 249 people with Karissa headed towards Star Base 12.

In June of 2274 The USS Republic shuttle craft landed down on Star Base 12.

Karissa accepted an offer to attend Star Fleet Academy and she took a suite at Madame Boarding School on the outskirts of Star Base 12.

Karissa was an old fashion girl that preferred Regency , Victorian and Edwardian style dresses and she didn't like the clothes of the 22nd century and she refused to adhere to the 22nd century style.

While Karissa was sitting under the tall oak tree that overlooks Star Fleet Academy she turned on her music and she started to dance and sing and clap her hands, but she didn't notice the audience that was watching her.

At the top of the hill there were three gentlemen watching her and two were aristocrats and one was an officer Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley.

The two aristocrats Lord David William Beck and Lord Andrew Charles Howard. They 1st cousin once removed.

Lt Kevin Thomas Riley was the first one to notice Karissa sitting on top on the hill that overlooked Star Fleet Academy.
