The Good News of The Heiress
It has been three months since Lord Andrew Charles Howard and Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell had their three days weekend at Balmoral Manor.
The first two days and nights went uneventful for him, but on the third night Lord Andrew Charles decided to dispense of his arrogance and he went to see Karissa in her suite.
When he first walked into her suite at Balmoral Manor she received him with respect and they talked together.
Lord Andrew Charles could take no chances or risks losing Karissa and he turned on the old Howard charm and they ended up giving into their passion.
Lord Andrew Charles and Karissa wait for the news to see if she is indeed pregnant with their daughter and she will marry him, but if not he will have to wait.
Karissa has agreed to give him a second chance later on after their first child becomes older.
Three months has passed by since that July 31, 2275 day and it is now October 31, the New Pagan New Year which begins on Samhain which is October 31.
Karissa missed three cycles and she knows that she is pregnant but she walks to Lord David William Beck’s office at Star Fleet Academy and when he sees her he smiles, “What brings you to see me Karissa?”
“Lt. Commander Beck. I need a pregnancy and amniocentesis test.” Karissa tells him.
“How many cycles have you missed?” Lord David William Beck asks.
“I have missed three cycles.” Karissa answers.
“There is no doubt in my mind that you aren't pregnant.” Lord David William Beck tells her.
“Who is the father of this child?” Lord David William Beck asks.
“Do you need to ask Lord David William Beck?” Karissa asks.
“Do I want to know or do I know the answer already? Lord David William Beck asks.
“I think you know the answer already.” Karissa tells him.
“The child you are having is my first cousin once removed, Lord Andrew Charles Howard child.” Lord David William tells her “ The child will be my second cousin as we will share the same great-grandfather, Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR.”
“Why do you want an amniocentesis test?”Lord David William asks.
“I want to know the gender of this child as it will determine if I marry him or not.” Karissa confesses.
“If it is a daughter I have agreed to marry him and if not I have only agreed to become his morganatic wife.” Karissa states.
“I have already told Lord Andrew Charles that he could legitimize this child and create him his heir.” Karissa states.
“I will gladly give you both tests.” Lord David tells her and performs both tests and the pregnancy test comes out positive and he has to wait for the amniocentesis test results to come back.
Finally after running an ultrasound and amniocentesis test and the test results come back Lord David Beck walks out with the results and he tells Karissa “ I have some good news.”
“What is this good news?” Karissa asks.
“Number one. You are indeed pregnant, Karissa and Number two. The child you are expecting is a fine, healthy daughter.” Lord David William states.
Lady Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane Howard is on her way to shake up Star Base 12 and make changes that needed to be made a long time ago.
Well at the same time, Lord Richard Edward Howard II and his wife, Lady Suzanne find out that she is pregnant as well.
Lord David William Beck tells Lord Richard Edward Howard II and Lady Suzanne that the child that she is expecting is a son, Lord Richard Edward Howard III is on his way.
Karissa walks back towards Norfolk Estate where Lord Andrew Charles, Lord Charles Andrew JR and Lady Patricia live and Lord Andrew Charles sees Karissa walking up the path and he meets her and looks at her she hands him the ultrasound and test results.
Lord Andrew Charles looks at the picture “ A daughter like you wanted Karissa. “ Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
“I have delivered my part of the bargain. Now deliver your part.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
“I am a woman of my word, Lord Andrew Charles, but you have to first have to ask me to marry you.” Karissa tells him.
“Oh! You want a formal proposal of marriage.” Lord Andrew Charles asks.
“I do indeed.” Karissa tells him and in front of his father and mother he gets down on one knee and takes her hand in his and he looks at her and asks.” Will you marry me Karissa?”
“Do I have time to think about it?” Karissa asks.
“No. You don’t.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
Karissa looks at Lord Andrew Charles and she tells him what he wants to hear: “ I will marry you.”
“When?” Lord Andrew Charles asks.
“February 1, 2275, on Imbolc.” Karissa tells him.
“I only want two things out of this marriage- I want a new home of our own and I want to raise my children the way I see fit.” Karissa explains.
“I will see that we have a new manor to live in and raise our family in and you may raise our children.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her.
Lord Andrew Charles escorts Karissa up to his father and mother “ Lady Karissa and I are having a daughter in May of 2275, father and mother.” Lord Andrew Charles tells him.
Lord Charles Andrew JR is jubilant. He has his heiress and Lord Andrew Charles and Lady Karissa have saved what his great-great-grandfather started so long ago back in 2160.
Lord Charles Andrew JR orders the bells to ring throughout Norfolk Territory proclaiming the impending birth of the first male line great-grandchild of Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR.
Lord Charles Andrew JR looks at his two other sons and says, “I had to depend upon your brother to produce the long-waited heiress.”
Karissa reluctantly takes the name of Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell and Lord Charles Andrew Howard creates her Marchioness of Pembroke Territory and the heirs/heiresses of her body.
Lord Andrew Charles with Lady Karissa walks up to his two older brothers and they bow to them “ You two are the sorriest lot of men I have ever seen.” Lady Karissa tells them.
“You pass the buck onto Lord Andrew Charles to have the first great-grandchild of your grandfather and first grandchild of your father. Both of you are older than Lord Andrew Charles. Lord Charles Andrew III. You are 20 years older than Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Patrick William. You are 10 years older than Lord Andrew Charles.” Lady Karissa tells them.
“What are your reasons for not having children.?” Lady Karissa asks.
“I don’t want to hear lame excuses. I want a reason.” Lady Karissa asks.
Both Lord Charles Andrew III and Lord Patrick William are dumbfounded and speechless and she looks at them and she tells them “ Get out of my sight. I might be tempted to make your father minus two sons.” and with that they walk away.
Lady Karissa walks with Lord Andrew Charles and she tells him. “ I don’t want your brother’s around me.”
“It will be as you wish.” Lord Andrew Charles tells her and they walk over to where Lord Charles Andrew JR and Lady Patricia are standing.
Lord Charles Andrew JR smiles at his son and future daughter in law, Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell and he calls out into the air “ Old man. You have your great-grandchild.”
From Valhalla, there is much rejoicing in front Of Odin and Freya and Lord Patrick William with his son, Lord Frederick William and Lord Charles Andrew SR walk up and they thank Odin.
